What is the Barbados Integrated Government portal?
The Barbados Integrated Government (BIG) portal provides access to information from and about the Government of Barbados.  This includes information about Ministries and Departments, latest news releases from Government, and career opportunities.  Government employees can also effectively collaborate with each other across the portal.

What are the advantages of the portal?
The portal makes available up-to-date information from the Government of Barbados.  Individuals can download forms from the portal and can also pay for certain services such as land tax payments and applications for birth certificates through the portal, 24 hours a day-7 days a week.  There is no need for queuing at Government departments to obtain an application form for a service, or make a payment for certain services.

What is my BIG portal account?
Your BIG portal account provides access to certain services that cannot be made available to all individuals.  For example in order to apply for a birth certificate, you must do so through your portal account.  This helps to provide security to your personalized information and reduce instances of someone stealing your identity.  In order to apply for your portal account, click here.

How do I locate a Government department?
To obtain contact information about a Government department, access the Ministries and Departments page by clicking here.  Select the name of the department from the listing on the page.

What department should I contact if I have questions about the portal?
If you need general information about the portal, contact the Data Processing Department at (246) 436.6327 or send email to dpdmail@barbados.gov.bb
