NHC to Build Two and Three Bedroom Houses
22-JUL-2008

The National Housing Corporation (NHC) is moving full steam ahead with plans for the construction of two and three bedroom houses in St. George, St. Philip and St. Peter.

According to Minister of Housing and Lands, Michael Lashley, “We are looking forward to an August start for these houses to be constructed at Marchfield and Workhall in St. Philip, Four Hill and French Village in St. Peter and Green’s in St. George.” Mr. Lashley added, “we are looking forward to the construction of 185 houses to meet that demand for low income housing”.

Government announced plans to construct ‘purpose-built’ houses for low-income earners during this year’s Financial Statement and Budgetary Proposals. (JM)
