Information For Close Contact With No Fever
You may have been exposed to a person or
source of the Novel Coronavirus 2019.
Exposure
includes caring for, living with, or having direct contact with respiratory secretions
and/or body fluids of a person with the Novel Coronavirus 2019.
If
you develop any of the symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath,
during the next 14 days kindly call your healthcare provider.
It
is very important for you to maintain this contact.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR A CLOSE CONTACT OF A KNOWN
OR PROBABLE CASE OF THE NOVEL CORONAVIRUS 2019
- Persons
without a fever are instructed as follows:
- Do not leave home for the period indicated
by the health care worker.
- Do not answer the door (arrange for other
family members to do this).
- Do not have visitors to the house.
- Sleep in a separate room away from others.
- Use separate utensils and dishes for meals,
and wash these separately.
- Wear a mask at all times to limit the
spread of the virus.
- Have temperature taken twice daily.
- Telephone your health care worker
immediately if any symptoms develop such as fever, cough, sore throat, and
shortness of breath.
